There is no official documentation regarding the proper use of the Ring Road and anecdotal evidence suggests there isn’t enough knowledge or adherence.

The average driver has clearly indicated his or her interest in seeing a safer road usage in the Belmopan ring road especially due to the misuse of the established lanes and improper parking of vehichles in these lanes.

How to properly use the ring road:

1. Walk or ride in the appropriate lanes.

2. Do not park on cycling or walk paths.

3. Stay within the speed limit.

4. While driving a car, slow down, stop and allow pedestrians to safely cross the cross walks.
